Kaden Layne, born February 11, 2009, was a happy and healthy 16-month old beautiful baby girl who was filled with smiles, giggles, and love. Tragically, her life was cut way too short. On the evening of July 10, 2010 her family's lives were changed forever when Kaden went to sleep and didn’t wake up. The cause of her death is still unknown and has been classified as SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood). Sadly, many families deal with the pain of losing a child. No matter the reason or cause, a child's death leads to one consistent outcome for the families involved; unimaginable grief.

Kaden's Cause is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to bring awareness to SUDC, support families affected by the tragedy of losing a child, provide low wealth individuals and families with funding to cover funeral, cemetery, and monument costs, and spread kindness throughout our communities in honor of Kaden.
The United Talent Dancers (PAC) performed a special tribute dance, "Homesick," in honor of Kaden at their Spring Recital in May of 2011. Choreographed by Ashley Rickman and performed by Cassidy Beymer, Lyndsey Borders, Erika Freeman, Maggie Hayes, Catherine Spigelmyer, Rachel Wilhite, Jenna Lyon, Hannah Montgomery, Andee Duvall, Kenedi Drumheller, Tess Campbell, and Erika Goodman.
"Homesick," as well as the "Daddy Daughter" dances that began in 2011 and now performed annually in United Talent's Spring Recital, sparked inspiration for the 1st Annual Kaden's Dance benefiting the SUDC Foundation.
Unfortunately, our 4th annual event has been cancelled due to COVID restrictions. In place of the dance, we will be holding a virtual silent auction on Saturday, April 24th, 2021. To make a donation, purchase a brick, provide an auction item, or become a Corporate Sponsor for this event Click Here. All contributions made to Kaden's cause are tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds support our three listed objectives above.
